Congrats to Our HR Team Members on Their Promotions!
July 6, 2023–Congratulations to Human Resources team members, Andrew Wise, Kristen Rosen, Christina Bitton, and Grace Martin, who have each received promotions, effective Wednesday, June 28, 2023! Read more about each below. Andrew Wise has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Learning & Development, Culture and Inclusion. The Learning & Development function is an addition to his responsibilities. Maria Jackson will report to him. Kristen Rosen has been promoted to Associate Director, Talent Acquisition reporting to Gail Thakarar in the interim, while a search is conducted for a VP, Talent Acquisition. Christina Bitton has been promoted to Manager, Talent Acquisition, managing the Clinical Hub. Grace Martin has been promoted to Manager, Talent Acquisition, managing the HHA and Business hub.

Ashleigh Bello, Marketing Promotion
April 12, 2023–We are excited to share that Ashleigh Bello has been promoted to Associate Director, Marketing. Since joining the team, Ashleigh has stepped up and taken initiative, pursuing growing responsibilities and welcoming new projects. She took on leadership of the External Communications & Marketing Assets Rebrand Workgroup, ensuring an efficient and effective asset transition approach; provided critical marketing support that contributed to the successful openings of the Community Centers; and built strong relationships across the organization. In her expanded role, Ashleigh will build on these successes, taking a greater leadership role in supporting key business priorities. She will continue to be an ambassador for the brand and Enterprise marketing assets, working closely with key stakeholders, while also assuming responsibility as the primary marketing lead for Hospice Care. Cristina Melendez, Marketing Promotion
April 12, 2023–We are pleased to announce that Cristina Melendez has been promoted to Director of Digital Marketing. In her new position, Cristina will continue to evolve the VNS Health social media presence while also taking on a broader role in the organization’s digital marketing strategies, including website content and development, multi-media, email marketing, and web analytics. Since joining VNS Health in 2019, Cristina has taken VNS Health’s social media programs to a whole new level, at par and beyond our competitors. At the same time, she has expanded her growth and impact across multiple areas of the business and proven to be a true digital marketing leader with innovative ideas and the agility and skillsets to make those ideas come to life. Martha Schueneman, Associate Director of Content Marketing and Editorial, will report into Cristina, along with Steve Trezza and David Jaramillo from the Digital Marketing team. Dan Timoney, Marketing Promotion
April 12, 2023–Congratulations to Dan Timoney, who was recently promoted into the new role of VP, Digital Solutions, reporting to Michael Bernstein, EVP & Chief Experience Officer. Dan has been a critical member of our Marketing team, leading our successful efforts in digital communications and marketing. In his new role, Dan will lead the development of a digital roadmap for VNS Health. Working collaboratively across the organization, Dan will focus on strategies and tactics that drive a high-quality user experience for our consumers and business partners across a fully integrated platform that allows for self-service, information exchange, and online transactions. Dan’s Marketing responsibilities, including social media and public website content and editorial, will remain within the Digital Marketing team. Congratulations, Dan!
Lisa Colello, Communications Promotion
January 20, 2023–Please join us in congratulating Lisa Colello who has been promoted to Communications Manager! Lisa joined the organization in September, 2021 as Communications Specialist. Lisa’s experience in managing projects and her writing skills were quickly put to good use during our rebranding to VNS Health and in enhancing the employee experience for our Home Health Aides (HHAs). In her new role, Lisa will continue to build even more effective communications to our HHA team members, which includes primary responsibility for managing the HHA Resource Center website, as well as helping to manage various projects for Frontline and other initiatives that the Communications team is working on. Aman Shah, Product Strategy Promotion
January 12, 2023–As you know, a key piece of our growth strategy is to continue to diversify our revenue sources and expand the reach of our mission. Over the past several years, innovation has accelerated in the healthcare industry with many startups aimed at disrupting and improving how care is delivered and financed. VNS Health has been leaning into the opportunity to participate in defining the products and services that will comprise the future of home and community care, which is why we created the Product Strategy team over a year ago, led by David O’Malley. A core part of our Project Strategy vision is to partner with innovative external organizations to leverage our 125+ year experience in touching more lives. Dan Lowenstein, Government Affairs Promotion
January 5, 2023–Dan Lowenstein (DL) has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. Dan joined VNS Health in January 2017 as Vice President of Government Affairs. Over the past six years, Dan and the Government Affairs team he leads have strengthened our advocacy for public policies that directly impact VNS Health. This includes building and maintaining relationships with important stakeholders in and around government, advising business and executive leadership on policy developments, and working with VNS Health experts to influence policy that supports our mission. With this promotion, Dan will be in a stronger position to achieve VNS Health’s policy priorities! Congratulations to Dan on his promotion!
Lorna Canlas, Performance & Innovation Promotion
January 5, 2023–It is our pleasure to formally introduce Lorna Canlas as the new AVP of Institutional Funding at VNS Health. This role is designed to bring strategic direction, cohesion and efficiency to institutional funding (funding from government grants and contracts and collaboration with foundation and corporate grant sources). VNS Health received $42 million from governmental sources alone in 2022 ($380 million over ten years) which funded critical programs such as Nurse Family Partnership, ACT, and the Gender Affirmation Program. In her role, Lorna will be able to further align VNS Health’s institutional funding efforts to support the overall VNS Health strategic plan including (but not limited to) funds to: Lorna brings a wealth of experience to the position. She is a registered nurse with over 20 year’s experience in clinical operations, management, business development and strategy. She is currently a Director in Strategy, Performance & Innovation at VNS Health, leading growth initiatives
Alfred Jackson, Membership Operations Promotion
December 8, 2022–We are excited to announce the promotion of Alfred Jackson to Senior Medicaid Recertification Coordinator. Alfred has been with our Membership Eligibility Unit for the past eight years and has contributed greatly through his role as a Medicaid Recertification Coordinator. Alfred has a wealth of experience and knowledge of our plans and applicable systems, and has consistently exceeded the expectations of our members. We know that he will continue to represent VNS Health and excel in his new role as our Senior Medicaid Recertification Coordinator. Tien Sou, Membership Operations Promotion
November 17, 2022–It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Tien Sou to Supervisor, Membership Operations! Tien has been working with VNS Health Health Plans for six years. Tien began his career at VNS Health as a Member Service Representative in the Contact Center and then transitioned to MEU as a Medicaid Recertification Coordinator. He was later promoted to Senior Medicaid Recertification Coordinator. Tien has a wealth of experience and knowledge of our processes, procedures, Medicaid guidelines, and systems that enables him to be well prepared for his new role. And his growth and leadership skills over the years as a Senior Medicaid Recertification Coordinator will ensure that he will be successful as Supervisor of our Medicaid Recertification Team.
