AIDS Walk New York 2023: Join Us in Central Park on Sunday, May 21
March 24, 2023–AIDS Walk New York is happy to announce the Walk will be in Central Park on Sunday, May 21st! You can join your colleagues from VNS Health and SelectHealth for this great annual event supporting the fight against HIV/AIDS. To register (no donation required): Participants will receive a t-shirt at the event. On Sunday, May 21st, enter Central Park at 72nd Street from either the East or West sides. Walkers check in upon arrival – the registration check-in opens at 8:30 a.m. Meet the SelectHealth Team at the Team Meeting Station along Literary Walk by 9:40 a.m. to pick-up your t-shirt. We also plan to take a big group photo before the start of the AIDS Walk! Social Services Community of Professionals (SSCoP) Kick-off Event on Friday, February 3rd
January 12, 2023–The Social Services Community of Professionals (SSCoP) is having a virtual kick-off event on Friday, February 3rd. Two sessions will be offered: 9:00 – 10:00 AM and 3:00 – 4:00 PM. If you currently have a career in a helping profession, such as social work, psychology or case management – or you will in the future – you’re invited to join! During the event, you can learn more about the community we are building together, and how you might become involved! Volunteer From the Comfort of Your Home with VNS Health Cares on MLK Day of Service 2023
January 6, 2023–Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday that honors the life and legacy of the civil rights leader. It is also a designated national “day of service” – a time to reflect on Dr. King’s message of improving our society and to volunteer to help our neighbors and our communities. For MLK Day of Service 2023, January 16th, VNS Health Cares has organized a volunteer activity where VNS Health team members will send greeting cards to some of VNS Health’s most vulnerable patients, members, and clients. Inaugural Meeting for VNS Health’s People of Color ERG is on November 15th
November 3, 2022–Our People of Color ERG will focus on continuing the work of anti-racism. It will support a culture that embraces diversity, inclusion, and equity, with a “zero tolerance” for racism. It will celebrate differences.
