June 24, 2021-At 6:00 pm last night, a major improvement was made in the way you’ll be receiving your VNSNY news. As you begin your day today, when you click on an Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) on your VNSNY computer or other electronic device, you’ll now go straight to the Frontline home page instead of the VNSNY Intranet. Why the change? It’s to keep you better informed about things that are happening around VNSNY. You’ll Now Have Your Finger on the Pulse of the Organization. With this change, each time you go to the Intranet, you’ll be able to catch up on all of the latest VNSNY news—the latest News Briefs, letters and commendations, staff profiles, Ask VNSNY videos, and updates on new programs and initiatives, as well as our CEO Dan Savitt’s monthly show, 30 Minutes with Dan. We are excited to announce that our dual-eligible Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) plan, VNS Health Total, received the highest possible rating of five stars from the New York State Department of Health—the only MAP plan in New York State to do so! Dan Savitt Honored with Legacy Award from R.A.I.N. Organization Congratulations to CEO Dan Savitt for receiving a Legacy Award from the New York City-based organization R.A.I.N.! R.A.I.N. provides personal care, housing support and other services to Bronx seniors, and also runs a number of older adult centers in the Bronx and upper Manhattan. VNS Health Creates Home Care Nursing Scholarship with Touro University VNS Health is partnering with Touro University’s New York School of Career and Applied Studies to provide scholarships that cover all educational expenses for Touro’s five-semester Associate Nursing Degree program, including tuition, textbooks and other fees. In exchange, scholarship recipients pledge to join VNS Health Home Care as full-time nurses for at least two years following graduation and will also work at VNS Health as paid interns in between semesters. The program’s curriculum includes home-care specific courses not typically offered in nursing school, which will be taught by VNS Health
