The PRIDE NYC 2019 March is Just Two Months Away! Sign Up Now to Join Your VNSNY Colleagues on June 30th

April 24, 2019

On Sunday, June 30th, the Visiting Nurse Service of New York will once again be participating as an organization in the PRIDE NYC March—the original and historic annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender lives and community in the United States. This year’s march, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, will pass directly in front of the Stonewall National Monument on Christopher Street, where the uprising originated.

All VNSNY staff members are invited to join in as we march together to show our commitment to providing care and support for aging LGBT New Yorkers. As you can see from the incredible joy and enthusiasm captured in this short video of last year’s event, it will be a day to remember!

The theme of VNSNY’s PRIDE entry this year will be “There’s No Place Like Home.” As we did last year, VNSNY will once again have its own float in this year’s parade. All VNSNY marchers will also receive a free T-shirt. In order to march with our official group, you must register with VNSNY, which is quite easy to do—just click here. VNSNY is limited to 300 marchers so be sure to sign up as soon as possible!
