Jessica Fear and Esther Conteh Among Industry Leaders Honored at McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards

McKnight’s published a story about their in-person awards ceremony held recently in Chicago, honoring the 2024 McKnight’s Pinnacle Awardees. The award recognizes longtime leaders in skilled nursing, senior living and home care. Among the distinguished awardees were Esther Conteh, VP Care Management Operations, who won the “Inspiration Award,” and Jessica Fear, SVP, Behavioral Health, who was given the “Thought Leader Award.” In all, 30 individuals from across the country were recognized for their roles as change-makers, their influence on industry standards, and their ability to inspire others in the field. In addition to the story about the event, profiles of each awardee were published in a commemorative booklet that can be accessed online.

Hospice Nurse Marylou Mendoza Wins 2024 Gold Standard Award from HCHB

Homecare Homebase (HCHB) announced that Hospice RN Marylou Mendoza is the recipient of their prestigious 2024 Gold Standard Award. This exciting news was shared in more than 70 national and regional news outlets, including Yahoo! Finance. HCHB honors home-based caregivers who utilize the company’s technology to provide exceptional patient care. A quote from Sherl Brand, SVP, Hospice Care, acknowledges Marylou and the entire VNS Health Hospice Care team for going above and beyond.

BronxNet Spotlights Bronx ACT Program Coordinator Amy Amadasu for Social Work Month

In recognition of National Social Work Month, BronxNet TV’s popular show Openfeatured Bronx Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program Coordinator Amy Amadasu talking about the many ways social workers help communities stay healthy and connected to resources. In the interview, Amy highlights the ways the ACT team supports vulnerable Bronx residents and families and explains that the fulfillment she feels from this work makes being a social worker at VNS Health the “obvious choice” for her.
