December 31, 2017–WABC-TV Showcases Project Hope. On New Year’s Eve, the WABC-TV program Here and Now broadcast a powerful and informative interview with two staff members from VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care. In this inspiring 11-minute segment, which first aired last October, VNSNY Hospice’s Director of Community Outreach, Michelle Drayton, and VNSNY Hospice Faith-Based Leader Jo-An Owings explain how VNSNY’s Project HOPE is reaching out to members of the Harlem community to share how hospice services can benefit them and their loved ones at the end of life. Good Morning America Gives a VNSNY Hospice Shout-Out
December 24, 2017–On December 24th, the VNSNY Hospice team received a special salute on ABC’s national TV program Good Morning America for “embracing the Christmas spirit all year round.” The segment, coordinated by ABC correspondent and VNSNY Hospice volunteer Dan Harris, featured a photo of VNSNY Hospice team members, Cynthia McGill, Claudia Paul, Betty Splunge and Ginger Glover plus an image of patient Ronnie Getter.
