Neighborhood Spotlight Takes a Trip to The Rockaways!
March 29, 2022–Frontline VNSNY is excited to bring you the sixth episode of “Neighborhood Spotlight” — VNSNY’s inside look at the neighborhoods we serve and the home care heroes who provide compassion and care in them! In the latest installment, Amery Moultry heads to The Rockaways—a culturally distinct, seaside community in Queens—to talk with hospice nurse Antoinette Williams about the year-round care she provides in the neighborhood. You’ll also hear from psychiatric social worker Linda Techell as they discuss the unique, long-term effects of COVID-19 on hospice patients living in the community. In this latest video, Amery Moultry heads to Brownsville, an East Brooklyn community faced with high rates of chronic health issues, to meet with long-time VNSNY nurse Sherill Stennett at the home of one of her patients. You’ll also hear from Clinical Intake Manager Tameka McCabe and Clinical Field Manager Valarie Brockington, VNSNY Impact Challenge participants focusing on bringing medical nutrition therapy—and a positive lifestyle change—to the Brownsville community. CEO Dan Savitt Heads to Yonkers for His Second Episode of “Neighborhood Spotlight”!
November 11, 2021–Frontline VNSNY is excited to bring you the second episode of “Neighborhood Spotlight.” In this new video series, VNSNY President and CEO Dan Savitt spotlights the care that VNSNY provides in different communities within our VNSNY service area. From Bayside to Bay Ridge, Chinatown to Levittown, Dan will be traveling to all corners of New York City and beyond, talking to staff about how we touch many different lives in many different neighborhoods.
