CEO Dan Savitt Heads to Yonkers for His Second Episode of “Neighborhood Spotlight”!

November 11, 2021–Frontline VNSNY is excited to bring you the second episode of “Neighborhood Spotlight.” In this new video series, VNSNY President and CEO Dan Savitt spotlights the care that VNSNY provides in different communities within our VNSNY service area. From Bayside to Bay Ridge, Chinatown to Levittown, Dan will be traveling to all corners of New York City and beyond, talking to staff about how we touch many different lives in many different neighborhoods. VNSNY Featured on BronxNet TV for LGBT Health Awareness Week

March 28, 2018–As part of National LGBT Health Awareness Week, which ran from March 26 through March 30, VNSNY’s Rhonda Soberman, Manager of Program Development, and Jennifer Rajewski, Senior Vice President of Partners in Care, were interviewed on BronxNet TV. During the broadcast, Jennifer and Rhonda explained why the stigmatization many older LGBT individuals have experienced can make them hesitate to seek out health care services, and described how VNSNY is overcoming these barriers to care by creating a “welcoming and bias-free” space for older LGBT adults.

VNSNY Hospice Veterans Program Showcased on NY1 for Veteran’s Day

November 10, 2017–In honor of Veterans Day on November 11, NY1 Television aired a moving story of how VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care and Joseph Vitti, Supervisor of VNSNY Hospice’s Veterans Program, helped bring comfort and closure to a Staten Island Vietnam War veteran and his family in his final days.

August 31, 2017–On August 20th, staff members representing the diverse services, programs and divisions of VNSNY in 2017 gathered in the Oculus at the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, for a group photograph commemorating VNSNY’s 125th anniversary.
