We Asked Our HHAs: What Achievement Made You Most Proud? Read the Responses!
January 27, 2026–Each month, our Home Health Aide team members have a chance to answer a different question related to their work, hobbies, and other topics. The HHAs who respond get entered into a monthly raffle where they have a chance to win a gift card, and a selection of that month’s responses is also shared with the rest of their HHA colleagues. This past month, the question they answered was, “What achievement made you most proud in 2025?” Nearly 300 HHAs replied, and their responses were incredibly heartfelt—as you can see from the following examples. Last Month We Asked: “What Is Your Favorite Holiday Tradition?”
December 15, 2025–Over 400 Home Health Aide team members responded to our November raffle question— “What is your favorite holiday tradition?” The responses were heartwarming. One tradition—spending time with loved ones—was a clear frontrunner for the most beloved part of the holiday season, getting named in 74% of responses. Many HHAs also mentioned decorating their homes (37%) and cooking special meals (51%). Not surprisingly, more than a third of those who responded said they enjoy dedicating their free time to helping others, with many expressing the joy they feel in assisting their clients with their own holiday traditions. As we do each month, we took the names of all the HHA team members who participated in the November raffle question, put them all together, and drew three at random. “What Do You Like to Do in Your Spare Time?”
November 3, 2025–432 Home Health Aide team members responded to our March raffle question—“What do you like to do in your spare time?” We received so many wonderful responses! The vast majority of our HHA team members said that spending time with friends and family is their favorite way to unwind. They cook for their children and watch movies with friends, all the while making precious new memories with the ones they love. Many HHAs also enjoy being outdoors. Whether it’s a brisk walk in the fresh air or peaceful time tending a garden, these moments outside can help reinvigorate them after a busy day. What is Your Favorite Part of Using the HHAeXchange App?
October 24, 2025–364 Home Health Aide team members responded to our April raffle question—“What is your favorite part of using the HHAeXchange app?” You sent in so many thoughtful and insightful responses! Many HHA team members highlighted the app’s efficiency and convenience as their favorite features, noting that with the HHAeXchange app, it’s faster and easier to clock in and out, access client information, and respond to the Plan of Care questions. In addition to simplifying daily tasks, HHAs also said they love earning points through VNS Health Rewards. Besides being a fun and engaging component of the app, these points serve as an important reminder that their hard work is appreciated. What Do You Think is the Secret to a Good Relationship with Your Clients?
October 22, 2025–422 Home Health Aide team members responded to our June raffle question, “What do you think is the secret to a good relationship with your clients?” The responses you provided were incredibly insightful. Above all, you told us that effective communication and a sense of mutual respect is the foundation of a strong HHA-client relationship. Many HHAs stressed that their clients want to feel heard and understood, and that responding to their clients’ preferences and expectations with professionalism and compassion can be the difference between a good relationship and a great one. Drawing from their own experiences, HHAs also shared that when caregivers take the time to listen, learn about their clients’ routines, and adapt their care to suit their clients’ likes and dislikes, it can have a big impact on the client’s comfort and well-being. What Do You Love Most About Your VNS Health Supervisor?
September 16, 2025–To the more than 400 Home Health Aide team members who responded to our recent raffle question: “What do you love most about your VNS Health supervisor?”,a big thank you! Many thanks, too, to all of our HHA supervisors! You’re really making a difference, not only in creating a better work experience for our home health aide team members, but also for our organization. What Is Your Favorite Thing About Summer?
August 22, 2025–As summer begins to wind down, our Home Health Aide team members had great insights about what makes this season so special. In response to our May raffle question—“What is your favorite thing about summer?”—316 of you shared your heartfelt reflections about what makes summer such a special time. A common theme was deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Many HHAs highlighted the lush greenery and the vibrant bloom of flowers, while others celebrated the simple pleasures like enjoying the warmth of sunshine, taking in breathtaking sunsets, and relaxing by the pool or at the beach. Others were excited for gatherings with loved ones, like barbecues and reunions. April 15, 2025–Just recently, we asked our Home Health Aide team members: “What do you most look forward to when visiting your client each day?” Their responses all had two things in common: they were heartfelt and they were truly inspiring. To see for yourself, here are a few. “She is my friend. Here’s What VNS Health HHAs Said They’re Most Looking Forward to in 2025!
February 18, 2025–For December’s monthly raffle question, we asked: “What are you most looking forward to in 2025?” Over 190 of you (194 to be exact) shared your hopes and aspirations for the year ahead. We took the names of all those who participated and drew three names at random. The winning team members who will each receive $200 are (drum roll, please!)… Want a chance to win $200?
