I am a Visiting Nurse

Each day souls in pain are encountered

Feeling imprisoned by sicknesses’ curse

Yet with compassion these bonds are broken from Above

Through the Hands of a Visiting Nurse

 

It takes one to be at their very best

To care for others at their very worst

So Prayer for Inner Strength is a repeated Exercise

In the Spirit of a Visiting Nurse

 

This Profession chooses only those who believe

In a Calling with a script that’s unrehearsed

For only Love that is Genuine and True freely flows

From the Heart of a Visiting Nurse

 

In a world where Profit is the priority

When only Health and Healing should only be first

Makes changing the system an ongoing Mission

In the Mind of a Visiting Nurse

 

Therefore, it is with utmost Gratitude

For the rest of my Life, in every Chapter and Verse

I will feel most Blessed with Pride and Joy to Confess

That I Am A Visiting Nurse
