Self-Defense Class Being Offered in Harlem on Saturday, June 29, by a Local Organization
A self-defense class is being offered in Harlem by a local organization on June 29.
Sisters in Purple and Diana Bidea will be hosting, “Take Back Your Power: Women’s Self Defense Day,” on Saturday, June 29, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event will take place in Harlem at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building, located at 163 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027.
This event is free, but if you are interested in attending, we recommend registering in advance to reserve your spot.

Paint, Sip, and Mingle with the Women’s Empowerment ERG on Wednesday, July 10
All women are welcome to join the Women’s Empowerment ERG “Paint, Sip and Mingle” in person event!
Enjoy a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage at the end of the work day, while spending some time painting and mingling with other WE members!
You are invited to paint whatever you would like! We will provide some watercolor painting materials, but if you have your own materials and want to bring them, feel free to do so.

Subway Series in July! There’s Still Time to Get Tickets to See the Yankees Take on the Mets on Tuesday, July 23
Join VNS Health and the New York Yankees for a fun-filled day at Yankee Stadium! Watch as the Yankees and Mets face off in the Subway Series at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, July 23 at 7:05 p.m.
Each Ticket includes a New York Yankees hat with the VNS Health logo. Also, this year, a portion of the proceeds ($10.00) from each ticket sale will go towards the VNS Health Nurse Residency Program!
Please note: To guarantee your New York Yankees hat with ticket purchase, you must have purchased your ticket by Thursday, June 13.
You can choose from three ticket options, starting at $121.72 per ticket:
- Ticket only option:
- Price: $121.72
- Includes: Ticket in either Section 305, 306 or 307, and New York Yankees hat with VNS Health logo
- Terrace Level All You Care To Enjoy option:
- Price: $179.35
- Includes: Ticket in either Section 305, 306 or 307; New York Yankees hat with VNS Health logo; and an all-inclusive menu of food and Pepsi products until 90 minutes after scheduled first pitch. (Menu: Hot dogs, pretzels, sausages, Pepsi products, water)
- Mastercard Batter’s Eye Deck option:
- Price: $235.94
- Includes: Ticket in Section 205; New York Yankees hat with VNS Health logo; and all-inclusive food, craft beer, and hard seltzers for 90 minutes prior to the game. (Menu: Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, french fries, mixed green salad, Pepsi products, craft beer, and hard seltzers)
- If you purchase this option, upon arrival, please enter the Stadium through Gate 8 and follow the stairs up to the Mastercard Batter’s Eye Deck.

Hat Pickup:
Once inside the Stadium, please head over to the redemption table located on the Field Level (100 Level) next to Gate 2 up to 60 minutes after the originally scheduled first pitch.
