The War in Ukraine: Coping With Stress, Anxiety, and Fear

March 8, 2022–The current situation in Ukraine is devastating for all of us, and especially for our team members of Ukrainian heritage who have family and friends in that country. Worry and fear are natural and understandable emotions at a stressful time like this. Here are a few ways to help all of us keep that stress from overwhelming our lives. Take breaks from the news. It’s okay not to be plugged into the news nonstop. “Mental health starts with you. An Interview with David O’Malley, SVP for Product Strategy

January 18, 2022–In May of 2021, David O’Malley joined VNSNY in the newly created position of Senior Vice President for Product Strategy. He comes to VNSNY from General Electric Healthcare, where he served in various product development related roles, most recently as Senior Director of product strategy for GE Healthcare’s digital technology group. Prior to that, David managed technology development for MediFit, a company that provided businesses with health and wellness solutions for corporate employees. Welcome to VNSNY! Despite fervent hopes that the 2021 Benefit Gala would be an in-person event, VNSNY made the difficult decision not to host a large, indoor celebration quite yet this year. “Even though we had to pivot to a virtual event, we released a pre-recorded program video on November 11th that people can watch at their convenience,” says John Billeci, VNSNY’s Vice President of Special Events. “It contains many of the same elements that our in-person event usually has, including a video about VNSNY and the presentation of our Lillian D.
