McKnight’s to Honor Rosa Marcus, Margaret McDonald and Grace McGhee for Career Achievements
This December, McKnight’s announced the honorees for their third Annual Pinnacle Awards. The following VNS Health team members are part of a select group of 32 awardees from across the country. Rosa Marcus, Director of Support Services, Personal Care, was honored with the Unsung Hero Award; Margaret McDonald, Associate Vice President, of The Center for Home Care Policy and Research, was honored with the Thought Leader Award; and Grace McGhee, Care Management Director, Health Plans, was honored with the Setting the Standard Award. News12 Brooklyn spotlighted VNS Health’s “Holiday Chicken Giveaway,” held at the Brooklyn Community Center in Sunset Park. In their coverage, News12 noted that chickens were chosen for the event given that many in the Chinese-American community associate chickens with family and unity, and serve them for special holiday celebrations. Innovative Partnership Between VNS Health and Vitalic Makes National Headlines
National and industry outlets reported on an exciting partnership between Vitalic and VNS Health. which includes the launch of a new platform from Vitalic designed to meet the behavioral health needs of older adults. The news was first shared by MedCity News, featuring a takeaway from CEO and President Dan Savitt. Vitalic’s announcement about the new platform was also picked up by several national outlets, including Fortune, Yahoo! Finance, HIT Consultant, and Behavioral Health News.
Carlos Londono Speaks with Opción TV About Giving Back to the Community
In a story tied to our Health Plans’ annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway in Washington Heights, Carlos Londono, Community Outreach Representative, was interviewed about the event on the local Spanish-language news channel, Opción TV. Dietician Phyllis Russell Provides Advice on Healthy Eating Habits
Phyllis Russell was featured in articles in The Bronx Voice and Patch highlighting simple ways that older adults can adjust their eating habits to stay healthy. Phyllis also provided advice on how homebound and low-income older adults can more easily access healthy food options, including local food pantries, meal delivery organizations, and more.
