Strength from Within Update: Today is #GivingTuesday!
Today is Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012 as a day to encourage people to do good, the day now inspires hundreds of millions of people across the globe to give to charitable causes.
That includes right here at VNS Health. Our Strength from Within Employee Giving Campaign is now in full swing. Since its launch last month, the campaign has raised more than $90,000 to help address health disparities throughout New York neighborhoods.
“Gifts to VNS Health support our charitable mission, helping us provide charitable care and community programs to thousands of our neighbors in need each year,” says Catherine Callaway, SVP of Marketing and Development. Why Do Team Members Give?
“VNS Health played a major role in my late grandmother’s care,” says Ashley Artis, an assistant in Business Development. “So on behalf of these angels, I made a donation as a token of my appreciation.” When asked why she donated, Anne Suddaby, Director, Hospice Care, replied, “I passionately believe that everyone should have access to excellent and compassionate Hospice Care, regardless of ability to pay or qualification of Medicare Benefit.
Matching $40,000 Gift
This year, VNS Health’s Executive Leadership Team has pledged to match $40,000 in donations.

BINGO Anyone?
For those looking for a fun way to give, on Thursday, December 8th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Development team will be hosting a BINGO night. With a $5 suggested minimum donation, players compete via Zoom and have a chance to receive some terrific prizes. To register, click here.
Give $50 or More and You’ll Be Entered in a Monthly Raffle
All donations or pledges of $50 or more will be included in a monthly raffle. Raffle prizes include CVS & GrubHub gift cards, PerkSpot movie passes, and complimentary tickets to the New York Red Bulls, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Artshack Brooklyn and Textile Arts Center. If you give today, you’ll be entered in both the November and December raffle drawings! No matter how much you choose to give, your gift will be making an important difference in the lives of our vulnerable neighbors. The 2022 Strength from Within Employee Giving Campaign ends on December 31st.
