Sam Jackson, Associate Director, Culture & Inclusion
We are happy to announce that Sam Jackson will be joining the Culture & Inclusion Team on Monday, June 20th as Associate Director, Culture & Inclusion, reporting to Andrew Wise, Vice President, Culture & Inclusion. Sam currently serves as Associate Director, Staff Intranet/Online Experience for the Communications Team.
Sam will continue his work of optimizing our VNS Health enterprise digital workplace tools, ecosystems and strategy as part of our WorkNow@VNS Health initiative to empower and improve the experience and productivity of all of our team members, now in support of our People and Culture Strategy, with an increased focus on employee experience. Sam will be working directly with the broader HR team, as well as continuing to partner with teams, individuals, and leadership throughout our organization to explore current digital workplace usage analytics/trends and opportunities, define goals, and develop and implement new human-centered digital solutions that leverage digital connectivity and automation, utilizing (primarily) the Microsoft 365 platform. In addition, he will continue to be responsible for the VNS Health Intranet, built in SharePoint, keeping an eye towards the employee experience.
After studying psychology and applied statistics at the University of Michigan, Sam joined VNS Health in 2013, managing the Research Center’s business and research administration and operations, and providing on-call team support. Sam worked closely with internal support departments, leadership, and external partners, supervised Research support staff, interns, and vendors, and provided additional per diem support to the VNS Health Government Grants team. In 2019, Sam completed the VNS Health ACE Leadership program and also began supporting the VNS Health Intranet in a per diem role. In 2021, Sam was a member of the VNS Health Impact Challenge Committee, and formally transitioned from Research into a full-time role with Communications to optimize the online experience for VNS Health teammates, with a focus on our Intranet.
