How Team Members Are Harnessing AI in Their Daily Jobs

July 14, 2025

In his July CEO Zoom, CEO Dan Savitt introduced VNS Health’s new Top Company Objective: Harness AI to transform how we engage, support, and care for those we serve, empowering our teams to achieve superior health outcomes.

This transformation has already begun, with team members from across the organization using AI to empower how they do their daily work. If you would like to share how you are using AI, please click here to answer a very short survey. We’d love to hear from you!

To give you just a small example, here is how 16 team members said they’re using AI to help them in their jobs:

  • Josie Aquino, Vice President, Quality, Health Plans: “I use AI to create market research summaries.
  • Justin Bain, Vice President, Information Security Officer: “I’m using AI to create trainings on technical topics like cybersecurity and for reviewing policies and procedures against industry standards.
  • Brady Brelinski, Associate Vice President, Clinical Operations: “I use AI to create Excel visualizations and infographics.
  • Jeri Goodman, Associate Director, Social Work Services: “I’m using AI for researching and summarizing best practices.”
  • Lauren Greene, Director, Digital Marketing: “I use AI as a kind of team member/consultant. I provide it with a ton of context and backstory, as opposed to short, hyper-focused requests. That helps the AI platform create higher quality, on-target content that’s more thoughtful and nuanced. Specific tasks I use it for include creating marketing briefs, drafting emails, generating ideas to serve as a starting point, gathering data and insights, and creating visuals.
  • Naseebah Khan, Director, Business Development Operations: “I use AI to create training materials. From tip sheets to process guides, AI helps me structure and simplify information for staff training. It also helps me lay out workflows that are easy to follow, reducing delays and confusion.
  • Dan Lowenstein, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs: “We’re using AI to draft and refine compelling advocacy materials and summarize and determine the impact of regulations.
  • Rosa Marcus, Director, Support Services, Personal Care: “I use AI to gather data, create forms, generate ideas to support our teams, create OKRs, and assist in reviewing and responding to yearly reviews.
  • Bob Orlando, Vice President, Software Engineering and Product Development: “I’m using AI for building code templates.”
  • Brenda Riordan, Senior Vice President, Home Care, Hospice, and Care Management Solutions: “I leverage ChatGPT and AI companion in Zoom to create meeting summaries and team accountability plans.
  • David Rosales, Chief of Provider Services: “I use AI to get a starting point on job descriptions and presentation outlines.
  • Miriam Ryvicker, Director of Research Translation and Evaluation: “We’re using AI natural language processing (NLP) in research studies to analyze free-text clinical notes. In the past, we’ve analyzed free-text data using manual coding techniques, but the coding is very labor intensive. NLP allows us to scale up analysis of free-text data and gain insights from the vast amount of clinical notes in our EHR.
  • Megan Shergill, Director, Private Pay Market Development:  “In Business Development, we’re using AI to identify the community’s most frequently asked questions regarding Personal Care services, and then using those FAQs as a springboard to create social media posts for education and marketing purposes.”
  • Debbie Stricoff, Associate Director, Program Development: “I use AI to summarize regulations and write speeches.
  • Nancy Vitale, Vice President, Shared Services Contact Center: “AI will be answering consumer calls soon and help route misdirected calls to the correct team, as well as enhance our after-call surveys and act as an “agent assist” to provide agents with easy access to workflows.
  • Andrew Wise, Senior Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness, Learning and Development: “I’m using AI as a thought partner to generate ideas at greater speed, as well as to analyze large data sets.
