What Do You Love Most About Your VNS Health Supervisor?
To the more than 400 Home Health Aide team members who responded to our recent raffle question: “What do you love most about your VNS Health supervisor?”,a big thank you!
Many thanks, too, to all of our HHA supervisors! You’re really making a difference, not only in creating a better work experience for our home health aide team members, but also for our organization.
We received so many thoughtful responses from our raffle question. Here, below, are just a few of them.
“Always encouraging me to do my very best.”

Stephanie Willis from Manhattan likes the fact that her supervisor Samantha Lewis is “very respectful and professional.” She also writes that “Miss Lewis is always encouraging me to do my very best. I am so proud to have Miss Lewis as my supervisor.”
“An excellent person.”

“Nervanie Girdharry is an excellent person and makes work easier,” says Rosario Perez, a team member in the Bronx.
“Makes sure I feel valued and rewarded.”

“I like the fact that my supervisor, Jessie Zhu, always shows understanding and is always apt at finding a solution to any problems that arise from the case,” says Dunadize Dhaiti, who works in Manhattan. “Most of all, Jessie makes sure that I feel valued and rewarded for doing a great job, and she doesn’t miss an opportunity to thank me. She’s great!”
“Committed to finding work for me in the hours I’m looking for.”

“My supervisor, Anthony Rodgers, is very soft-spoken, but I can always detect a smile in his voice when I’m speaking with him, which makes me feel comfortable,” says Jennifer Darlington, who provides care in Manhattan. What I love most about my supervisor is that he’s committed to finding work for me in the hours I’m looking for. He takes his work seriously, but most of all, he listens when you’re speaking to him.”
“Professional, intelligent, and caring.”

“Marcia Roberts-Smith is very professional, intelligent, and caring,” says Djemba Shutsha, who cares for clients in Queens.
“Checks all the boxes.”

Team member Valora Ford from Long Island writes that her supervisor Erin Swinton “checks all the boxes. Erin advocates to eliminate all barriers and improve both the client and aide experience. She also assists to place the right team to provide the best experience, and avails team members of opportunities to train when needed.”
“She talks to me with so much respect.”

“My supervisor Patricia Rodriguez is the best there is,” says Kemona Bailey, who works in the Bronx. ”I can always depend on her. She talks to me with so much respect, as I do to her. She always makes sure to congratulate me for doing such an amazing job, and before she hangs up she always says ‘thank you’.” One day, Kemona adds, she hopes to give Patricia “a big hug, just to let her know that she is appreciated dearly.”
“Thankfully, I’ve got the best supervisor ever!”

And finally, Wai Phyo Aung, who cares for clients in Manhattan, writes that supervisor Josephine Heckstall is “very calm and listens to me.” He adds that Josephine explains “how to do the job properly and how to take care of the patient. Thankfully, I’ve got the best supervisor ever!”
