VNSNY Hospice Receives Holiday Shout-Out on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America
Just before Christmas, millions of television viewers across the U.S. were greeted by the smiling faces of four VNSNY Hospice staffers. As the December 23rd broadcast of the national ABC-TV show Good Morning America was concluding, host Dan Harris announced a special holiday shout-out to “some beautiful human beings…[who] do incredible work for vulnerable people year-round.” The show then shared a photo of hospice nurses Cynthia McGill and Olderine Charles and Partners in Care home health aides Ginger Grover and Magdalene Akatogri.
All four staffers work at VNSNY Hospice’s Goodman Brown Residence, where Dan has served as a volunteer for the past two years. The show also displayed a photo of the TV host himself standing alongside Goodman Brown patient Ronnie Getter. “Ronnie, I love you,” added Dan. “Thank you for teaching me so much about how to live.”
