Free Summer Art Series for Youth and Young Adults, Ages 10 to 24

This summer, our Behavioral Health OMH-funded suicide prevention team is hosting free weekly art classes for youth and young adults, ages 10 to 24, in our Bronx FRIENDS office as well as in our Brooklyn regional office.
Both the Bronx and Brooklyn art series focus on suicide prevention, with participating youngsters completing art activities designed to increase their resiliency and build coping skills while they connect with their peers. In each class, the participants will engage in a different, fun, strength-based art activity. The classes are drop-in, meaning it isn’t mandatory to attend all the classes. Children and young adults can participate in as many or as few classes as they want. Snacks, fun prizes, and pizza will also be given out in each class!
The art classes will be led by YPA-C Emma Adler and Peer Specialist Jules Brendanawicz.
Bronx Art Series
- When: Every Wednesday afternoon until August 27
