A Man Is Sitting on the Hood of Your Car. What Should You Do?
April 16, 2024–VNS Health is committed to keeping its team members safe, particularly those who work in the field. To that end, VNS Health has an individual on staff whose primary focus is to keep team members safe. Our Emergency Management and Employee Safety Director, Lauren Campbell, works with departments across the organization as well as outside agencies to implement and maintain ways to keep both team members in the field and those based in the office as safe as possible. The neighbor—artist, stage designer and modern-dance choreographer Miller Richardson—had about 13 rooms filled with elaborately organized boxes full of memorabilia. “As I was searching, I came across an ink-bottle box from the 1950s, and in it, neatly wrapped in tissue, was an egg with writing on it,” remembers John, who’s worked at VNS Health for 33 years. October 6, 2023–Over eight inches of rain recorded in a single day in New York City … flash floods across the metropolitan area… half of the city’s subway lines closed down… streets turned to ponds… snarled traffic… delayed plane flights—no question, that was one massive and historic rainfall that hit the New York area on Friday, September 29! VNS Health frontline team members are famous for overcoming obstacles and delivering care in every type of weather, no matter how bad. September 29, 2023–Last week, Margarita Roldan, a senior social worker with VNS Health Home Care in the Bronx, and Raquel Webb-Geddes, a VNS Health Home Care nurse on Long Island and a Federation of Nurses/UFT Chapter Leader, joined the Government Affairs Team in Washington, DC, where they called on Congress to halt billions of dollars in Medicare home health cuts that are impacting VNS Health and providers and patients across the country.
