VNS Health Medicare Advantage Plans Earn Highest CMS Rating in NYC and Long Island!
October 21, 2022–For the second year in a row, VNS Health Medicare has earned a rating of 4.5 out of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). No other Medicare Advantage plan in New York City or Long Island received 4.5 Stars in the latest ratings, making VNS Health the top-ranked Medicare Advantage payer in these areas. September 30, 2022–Autumn is in the air: Leaves are turning, the air is getting chillier, football teams are back in action, and the next step in our rebranding continues. As part of VNS Health’s rebrand, the shift of most of the organization’s Medicare and Medicaid health plans to their new VNS Health branding officially took place this past Saturday, October 1, just in time for Medicare’s annual open enrollment period, which kicks off in mid-October. The plans, known collectively as VNS Health Health Plans—or more informally, health plans from VNS Health—also have a new website, vnshealthplans.org, which launched on Saturday as well. With this rebrand, VNS Health will be retiring the name CHOICE (standing for Community and Homecare Options for the Integrated Care of the Elderly), the brand which the health plans have been marketed under for the past 24 years. SelectHealth Has a New Name: SelectHealth from VNS Health
July 15, 2022–For over a decade, SelectHealth, VNS Health’s specialized Medicaid plan for people living with HIV, individuals of transgender experience, and gender non-conforming or homeless individuals, has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality, personalized care to a population with complex health needs. Today, July 15, 2022, it’s also getting a new name: Going forward, VNSNY CHOICE SelectHealth will be known as SelectHealth from VNS Health. While its name is changing as part of VNS Health’s overall rebrand, the energy and look—and outstanding care management—of this successful and well-received health plan will remain the same. Updated brochures and signage will be in the community starting today. ID cards and other member materials will begin rolling out in August.
