Changing Your Outlook Email Signature for The Move

August 28, 2018

As we will be beginning the process of moving to 220 East 42nd Street in three weeks, we’d like to take a moment to share how to handle your Outlook email signature, as well as how to communicate our new address to external partners.

Changing Your Outlook Email Signature

Please take a moment today to update your current outlook address with the following text:

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF [DATE], MY NEW OFFICE ADDRESS WILL BE
220 EAST 42nd STREET.  THANK YOU.

You can place this under your current email signature. Please note that you will need to change the above to reflect your area’s first day at 220. Here are the move in dates:

Phase I – Monday, September 17th

Phase II – Monday, October 1st

Phase III – Monday, October 15th

Phase IV – Monday, October 29th

To add this note to the bottom of your email signature, just follow the instructions below. When you get to step #5, copy and paste the text above (adding the new date). If you have a question as to your area’s move phase, please speak with your Move Ambassador or Move Coordinator, or your direct supervisor.

Once you have moved into 220, please permanently change your Outlook email signature to the new address by following the below steps:

1)     When you’re in Outlook, go to “File” – it’s in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.

2)     Click on “Options”

3)     Click on “Mail”

4)     Click on “Signatures”

5)     Then place your curser over the 1250 Broadway address and type in the new 220 East 42nd Street address. Our new zip code is 10017.

6)     Then, hit “okay,” and the email signature has been updated.

Communicating to External Partners

For your convenience, we have created two ways you can alert external partners that your new office address will soon be 220 East 42nd Street:

#1:  You can forward the email sent on August 27th with the embedded message.
Or … #2: You can send the attached PDF.

Thank you for your attention to both of these matters, The 220 Move Project Team
