2025 Personal Care Honor Awards: Here’s the Full List – and Photos!

The 42nd Annual Personal Care Honor Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in midtown Manhattan. Here below are photos of the festive event as well as a complete list of all the Personal Care team members who received Honor Awards. Congratulations to all the winners!

Sally Kirton, HHA Supervisor, received the VNS Health Rewards Supervisor Superstar Award. Sally has some of the most challenging cases to fill, yet she and her team achieve remarkable results. She’s also a champion of VNS Health Rewards, recognizing her team often and ensuring that VNS Health’s Home Health Aides know their work matters. She is often praised for her kindness, patience, and compassion — she is truly a caregiver to caregivers.

Diana Isabel Cuero Marroquin, HHA, won the VNS Health Rewards Hiring Wizard Award for being, quite simply, a hiring hero! Diana has referred seven new aides to VNS Health — bringing in people who share her values of compassion and dedication.

Joy Moore, HHA, won the VNS Health Rewards Mobile App Guru Award. New technology can be daunting, yet Joy has been adapting to every new technology over her more than 25 years with VNS Health. Her record of perfect mobile compliance is a model for her peers, ensuring her clients always receive timely, consistent care.

Erica Milton, HHA,won the VNS Health Rewards Recognition Phenomenon Award. Erica has been recognized by ten different supervisors this year alone. She’s been with VNS Health for 20 years in all, earning praise for her reliability, compassion, and dedication.

Marjorie Buford, HHA, was presented with the Richard Flender Grace Award for showing grace under pressure. Marjorie joined VNS Health in 2017 and works with patients in our Dementia Care at Home program. Marjorie is known for her tremendous grace as well as for being very compassionate, creative, patient, knowledgeable. She works amazingly well with the patients’ families and is a wonderful caregiver. Marjorie says “yes” to the toughest cases – and the word “no” doesn’t seem to be part of her vocabulary.

Wendy Hull, HHA, won the Stephen V.R. Goodhue Spirit Award for her generosity, calm attitude, and amazing reliability. Wendy has been with Personal Care since 2007. She is a dedicated, caring team member who, day in and day out, shows empathy, love and resilience to her patients. Wendy always goes above and beyond to be sure that her patients are up to date with their medical appointments, and reports any clinical changes promptly to the nurse and her supervisor. Wendy’s deep commitment to her clients is evidenced by the fact that they are always so excited to see her.

Vilanya Sanchez Munoz, Clinical Care Manager, received the Professional Excellence Award for Most Outstanding Clinician. For nearly a decade, Vilanya has been a cornerstone of our Personal Care team. She consistently embodies our Core Values and is kind, gentle, and deeply empathetic. Her clients feel safe and heard, and her ability to make members comfortable in their homes is remarkable. She listens with intention, assesses with precision, and documents with clarity — reflecting her commitment to excellence.

Marlon Cumberbatch, Unit Manager of Certified Services, was the winner of the Management Professional Excellence Award. Marlon has been with VNS Health since 2011. He exemplifies the VNS Health Core Values through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to his team, his Personal Care colleagues, and our mission. As leader of the Visit Verification Unit, he ensures operational excellence, mentors his team, fosters accountability and growth, and builds strong cross-department collaboration. Under his guidance, the unit has reduced verification discrepancies and increased timely visit confirmations — directly supporting quality care and compliance.

Lavaughn Hector-Henry, Senior Clinical Support Assistant, won the Administrative Professional Excellence Award. Lavaughn exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism, leadership and compassion. The recipient of two ABCD awards in 2025 alone, Lavaughn anticipates challenges, rallies the team with positivity and resolve, offers thoughtful guidance to her fellow team members, and fosters a sense of unity and purpose within the team. Through her exceptional contributions to the Personal Care team, Lavaughn has made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the clients we serve.

The event’s biggest award — the James R. Withrow Jr. Home Health Aide of the Year Award — was presented to HHA team member Karen Williams!

Karen has been a VNS Health team member since 2009 and is an outstanding caregiver who consistently exceeds expectations, day in and day out. She is known for her dedication and compassion with clear, professional and reassuring communication with her clients. She has great working relationships with everyone she encounters, has perfect attendance, stays on top of appointments, and keeps her supervisor up to date on any and all developments with her clients.
