Marki Flannery Named One of NY’s “Notable Women in Health Care”

August 7, 2018

We are thrilled to announce that Marki Flannery, VNSNY’s President and CEO, has been selected for the first-ever list of “Notable Women in Health Care” in the New York metropolitan area, published by Crain’s New York Business. In their write-up, Crain’s praised Marki as “a stable presence at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York since 1982,” where her accomplishments have included building Partners in Care into the largest licensed home care agency in the New York City area—adding that when the organization’s CEO position became vacant, VNSNY’s Board “immediately chose her for the top spot.” Noting that VNSNY is the nation’s largest non-profit home care agency with over 48,500 patients and members in its care on any given day, Crain’s goes on to cite Marki as “a national expert on the challenges facing the home care industry.”

With this wonderful recognition, the rest of the New York metro area—and the nation—are reminded of what we know so well here at VNSNY: That, in the words of Crain’s, Marki is one of the “extraordinary women in health care.” Congratulations, Marki!
