VNS Health Welcomes New Fellows at Hospice Fellowship Orientation
August 29, 2025–In August, our Hospice team hosted a Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Training Program Orientation at our 220 East 42nd Street office. Over 40 physician fellows came together for a full-day program featuring nine speakers. The Fellowship Program integrates healthcare professionals into home hospice care teams, deepening participants’ expertise in the value and impact of home hospice care while also serving thousands of patients, many from minority communities. The day’s events underscored the program’s importance, not only to patients and families, but also to the professional development of those who dedicate their careers to end-of-life care. Longtime program supporter Dennis Paoli of the Heidi Paoli Fund attended the orientation and shared his reflections. “When a program works, it works,” he noted. “I decided to support VNS Health’s Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Training Program because I know the huge difference it makes to people in need.” See the photos here!
Accelerating the Hiring Process, Especially for Hard-to-Fill Positions
August 26, 2025–Welcome to “Objectives in Action,” our ongoing series that features teams from across the organization that are working to make our four Top Company Objectives a reality. These strategic objectives, when executed well, will help us achieve our vision. Top Company Objectives featured in this article: In the spotlight: The HR Talent Acquisition team The hiring situation: Until earlier this year, the Talent Acquisition team was using Workday to track job candidates as they move through the hiring process. While Workday is a strong system for HR, payroll and finance, it has limited functionality when it comes to tracking job applicants: Key parts of the hiring process—like sharing resumes and collecting feedback—often had to be done outside the system through emails or other manual methods. Also, the reporting and analyzing of hiring information required manual workarounds to extract data, making it difficult to view trends or make real-time, data-informed decisions.

3 AI Solutions That Could Be Game Changers for Provider Services
August 11, 2025–INSIDE PROVIDER SERVICES with David Rosales Welcome to the latest installment of “Inside Provider Services,” my column in which I talk about important things that are happening within our Home Care, Hospice, Behavioral Health, Personal Care and Care Management Organization teams. AI not only has the potential to improve the quality of our care and the consumer experience, but it’s going to free us from having to do repetitious tasks that take up a lot of time, so we can focus more on the care itself. Here are a few examples of what I mean: Documenting Home Care and Hospice clinical visits Documentation is one
