February 2018 VNSNY CHOICE Staff Commendations

Providing excellent customer service is something we should always strive for. Here are excerpts from some of the dozens of calls we receive each week from members thanking CHOICE staff for a job well done.


A CHOICE member called to express how “very happy” she was with the assistance she received from Member Services Representative Eblond Achile. “Eblond went above and beyond to help me this morning, and I wanted everyone at VNSNY to know,” she said.

Another CHOICE member phoned to praise the “great service” provided by Member Services Representative Joy A. Brown, noting “how efficient and calm she was in handling my request.”

A CHOICE member commended Member Services Representative Angelina Peters for her help—adding, “Angelina is terrific.”

“I wanted to let you know how very happy I am with the service that Member Experience Representative Patricia Murray provided me with today” said another CHOICE member. “Patricia is the perfect employee!” The caller added that she had been “overwhelmed with many things” and that Patricia “went above and beyond her duties and explained everything in a clear and concise manner.”

A CHOICE member’s daughter phoned to thank Member Services Representative Roberto Nazario for assisting with her mother with “vital” transportation needs. “This was a very difficult case, but Roberto did not pass on the task,” she said. “Instead, he reached out to and spoke to everyone he needed to in order to get the member and his family the service they needed.”

A CHOICE Medicare member complimented Member Services Representative Kerri-Ann McLaughlin for her “professionalism, kindness and excellent service,” stating that Kerri-Ann was “very patient and knowledgeable on getting the issue resolved.”

A member who has been with VNSNY CHOICE for 15 years called to commend Member Services Representative Crystal Valdez for “more than an excellent job done.”

Another member phoned to say that Member Services Representative Justin Morris was “very nice, and very patient” in assisting with her supplies.

A VNSNY social worker praised the “hard work” of Member Services Representative Ruben Iglesias. “Ruben is a great advocate not only for our member but also for the staff at the facility” where the member is getting care, she said.

A recently enrolled CHOICE member noted, “I’ve never had such great customer service” as the help he recently received from Enrollment Coordinator Milagros Lopez. “She is wonderful. She was able to solve all of my problems and now I feel like I can relax,” he said. “I can’t say enough about helpful she was.”

Finally, a CHOICE MLTC member phoned to praise the entire CHOICE Member Services team. “Thank you for working so hard to get my supplies,” he said. “God bless you all!”
