Blackout Dates for Requesting Time Off, Opening Recruitment Requisitions, Procurement, and Awards
October 17, 2019
At the end of this month, VNSNY is rolling out a new human resources, finance, and payroll system, Workday. Workday provides you with one-stop shopping to view your pay, benefits, and other important information, and can be used on your VNSNY phone, tablet, laptop, or work computer.
As we get ready for go-live, we want to share with you some important information regarding blackout dates for the following:
Time Off Requests
- Requests for time off, and the supervisor’s response, must all be completed in Workbrain by October 25th.
- No entries can be made in Workbrain after October 25th.
- Only approved requests will be moved into Workday; pending requests will not be converted from Workbrain to Workday. If you have a request pending, please remind your supervisor.
- Starting on October 31st, all time off requests will be submitted and approved in Workday. If you had a pending request that was not approved in Workbrain, you will need to resubmit it in Workday. If you need to request time off between October 26th and October 31st, please speak directly with your manager.
Procurement
- PeopleSoft requestors will be unable to submit requisitions beginning Thursday, October 24th, which will allow our buyers to process pending orders and dispatch purchase orders to suppliers.
- Requisition ordering process will be available in Workday beginning Monday, November 4th.
Recruiting
- If you are a hiring manager, please continue to submit the current PDF form for job requisitions up until November 1st.
- Hiring Managers will be able to open new job requisitions using Workday the week of November 4th. The PDF form will be retired at that point.
ABCD & Initiative Awards
- Please do not submit any additional ABCD or Initiative Awards until we launch Workday on October 31st.
